Transformative Experiences in Leadership Training & Personal Growth

Josh Mantz, a former Major in the United States Army, is a professional speaker, author, and the CEO of Asymmetric Mind, LLC. Stemming from a foundation at West Point, the nation’s premiere leadership institute, Josh led units in counterinsurgency environments in Baghdad, repaired fractured medical units, and built leadership development programs for Fortune 500 companies in the private sector.

His teachings stem from direct experience in some of the world’s most adverse environments, including his ability to overcome a fatal gunshot wound in 2007 after being shot and killed by an enemy sniper on the streets of Baghdad; only to be miraculously revived after his heart stopped for a full 15-minutes.

His #1 best-selling book, The Beauty of a Darker Soul, carries a universal message about psychological trauma, empowering. people to overcome their most challenging experiences and lead themselves through adversity.

With expertise in leadership strategies, client engagement, and psychological trauma, Josh has synthesized messages that change our past constructs of the world, opening people up to creativity, innovation, and optimal performance across all domains of life. Josh currently resides in San Jose, California, and is pursuing a Ph.D. in consciousness studies at the California Institute of Integral Studies.

Extensive Live Interaction and multiple delivery options to suit your schedule. From Clinician to Counterinsurgent™ Unlock Your Therapeutic Potential.

Join best-selling author and former Army Major Josh Mantz as he delivers advanced cultural competency training for mental health practitioners working with the military and 1st responder populations. This dynamic course helps clinicians understand the complexities of the modern operating environment through the lens of complex psychological trauma.

“My objective is to train 10,000 clinicians by 2022 in order to develop an ecosystem of culturally competent practitioners and peer support personnel attune to the complexities of modern combat and policing. This course is designed to EMPOWER clinicians to maximize the strength of the therapeutic relationship and view psychological trauma through a radically new lens.” Josh Mantz, CEO

RAND and VA studies estimate that only 5-20% of clinicians who work with military and first responder populations have a firm understanding of the cultural complexities of these professions. 30% of the therapeutic outcome is attributed to the strength of the therapeutic relationship. This is grounded in our ability to establish TRUST. Cultural competency enhances our ability to establish the level of trust needed to uncover the root causes of trauma. The nature of the modern operating environment (asymmetric warfare, counterinsurgency, policing) is wildly complex. Few understand it. It flips conventional warfare doctrine on its head and is infused with paradoxes. This training allows clinicians to easily understand the most crucial aspects of service as it relates to complex psychological trauma. Join a rapidly growing ecosystem of practitioners, healthcare providers, and peer
support personnel with access to exclusive content and dynamic referral networks.
