Who We Are

Founded in 1980, PGT pioneered the U.S. impact-resistant window and door segment, growing from just four employees to approximately 1,700 at the manufacturing facility in Venice, Florida. After the destruction from Hurricane Andrew in 1992, PGT established itself as a leader in impact-resistant windows and doors. The WinGuard® line, with over three million units installed and no reported impact failures, continues to provide consumers with safety and security. As the first manufacturer to develop a complete line of residential aluminum impact-resistant windows and doors to be approved by the Miami-Dade Building Product Control, the company assisted in the development of protocols required by the strictly enforced building codes. Our dedicated employees are passionate about PGT Industries, and are proud to create products that protect families from other devastating natural disasters.

What We Offer

Prior to 1992, PGT specialized in vinyl glazed windows – known as Eze-Breeze® Sliding Panels - that were used to enclose porch systems. This unique product line is manufactured as a desirable alternative to glass. In addition to the Eze-Breeze product line, PGT offers multiple high-integrity window and door lines that provide various benefits. Hurricane protection, security against intruders, noise reduction, UV filtering, energy efficiency affordability, and style are some of the most notable benefits that our products have to offer. PGT continues to develop all product lines with cutting edge innovations, allowing the company to expand into new markets, giving us the satisfaction of furthering the radius of people our products can protect.
